A lot of articles I’ve read seem to confirm or strongly suggest that a Back to the Future coaster / ride will be there. I’m surprised at this as the films were released about 40 years ago and doesn’t seem that relevant or popular today compared to other franchises like Star Wars. I know Star Wars is owed by Disney but universal has a lot of other options. A Tranformers ride would have been good.
Really interesting point SujB! Back to the Future has a massive nostalgic fanbase who are now in their 40s and 50s and bringing their own kids along.
There are some hints it could be included. Sources reportedly close to the project suggested it to the BBC and some analysts think they can spot Courthouse Square from Hill Valley in the official concept art. An 88mph launched coaster would be something else ![]()

Nothing officially confirmed though so take it with a pinch of salt! Universal are keeping their cards very close to their chest.
As for Transformers, also possible! Universal already has that ride in Hollywood and Singapore.
If there is a Back to the Future ride, I’ll be rewatching the films before my visit to Universal UK!
Haha definitely. Any reason to rewatch those classics!!
I don’t think there will be one. I’m only saying this because the Orlando park had closed the Back to the Future ride a long time ago and replaced it with The Simpsons ride! I think it was worth closing that one ride to make a whole Simpsons land! It’s one of my favourite areas of the whole park!
Back to the Future was cool when it was out, if they do bring it out, they’ll have to give it a huge upgrade and bring it back with a bang!
But saying that, I think there will be plenty of new rides out that will give Orlando’s park some good competition![]()
